I haven't slept in days. Well, I did have that 30 minute nap on the subway yesterday. I have almost secluded myself from most of what's outside. When you live and work in a place where excitement is the norm you become numb to it's consequences. Desensitized is more like it. The world around you suddenly fades away to the recesses of your mind. Friends, family, situations, places, things; they all seem to be flickers of your former state. It has been days and I am still wide awake, drifting in and out of practically nothing. When you live and work in a place covered with everyone's cruel assiduous motivations, you begin to lose sight of the world around you. Nothing amazing happens here, only the ordinary.
Sleep is no longer an option.
