Fear and Loathing on Earth

The dichotomy of order and government.

Does it take an entire administration of Harvard and Yale graduates, and Colombia scholars and lawyers to understand that order is needed to enforce democracy? No, it only takes one person with common sense to understand and to know. Common sense should dictate most if not all of a persons actions, but as it seems common sense is pushed aside in favor approval and a better image. A nation not founded on a democratic order cannot be forced into democratic order. Although it is possible to use force to able governing bodies to create a pseudo state of clam that would only bring on hostile resistance. Resources of many sorts will be wasted only to fuel a contempt for both parties. Thousands of years of war and religion cannot be changed within a few months of talk. Order, order, order... It doesn't matter what sort of governing body is in place, with out order it does not matter how much enforcement is in place, how much talk, how much compromise, it all will not matter when force is used as the basis for order. However when the option of force is to be used it must be lead with a proper understanding of the opposition. Without that knowledge the process of the establishing a democratic system will fall short of its goals and will only give rise to new "insurgencies".

The epidemic of fear.

The tactic of striking fear into the hearts of your enemy has lately seen a radical reversal in its role. It should now be stated as strike fear into the hearts of your people. A nation in fear will most likely be obedient and will bend to the will of their leaders, a nation in fear will breed ignorance and unjustified hate. A new infection has spread fast and hard. The epidemic of fear has struck a nerve in many people. People now have fear for the slightest change. Again this tool is vital for bodies to seize control and to keep the masses at bay. Today the tactic is used to stir nothing but trouble. The assumption that the public will not understand their environment shows how much faith their leaders have for them. The tactic however slowly penetrates from those who do fear to those that will learn fear. Striking a single chord that affects an entire civilization is carefully planned and executed. People now are afraid of what has no direct concern to them or impact to them. We fear the wrong things and because of that we lose touch with what is around us. We have found the greatest weapon against our enemies, we just haven't the slightest clue on how to implement it to better or remedy a situation.
